Relaxing Days …..
This week has been extremely stressful, I have school finals for 2 of my classes including this one and work has been super stressful. So instead of stressing myself out, I made a list this week of things that I am going to do throughout the week and I started off small so I didn’t overwork myself. And I put on there are some deadlines that I need to meet. This is one technique that I used because I struggle with overthinking a lot and I put too much on my plate, which causes my brain to get tired easily. I am very interested in watching mindful technique videos, and listening to different people and trying what they use. I actually saw this technique on someone’s video a couple of years ago and it does help me so much. I was successfully able to accomplished what I wanted to do. I worked hard this week so I decided to treat myself to some new clothes, and walk in the park this week which was super helpful to me. At the park I put in my headphones and listen to some meditation music. From there I sat on the bench in the sun close my eyes and took three deep breaths in and out. I just sat there and felt my body warm up from the nice sun. Stop my feet on the ground, and from there I knew I was grounded. Which is super important doing meditation techniques. And then after I did all that I took a nice walk and went home, and treated myself to my favorite restaurant…..
You managed this very well. It is very overwhelming, all the things we have to do. I do have a planner where I too write everything down, it is a relaxing way to plan everything out with time and not feel overwhelmed. When I do a list and just check off things I already completely it feels like an accomplishment and I get motivated to keep going. Treating yourself is also a good idea. There is also an exercise with leaving your phone in another room charging while you solemnly focus on your homework and because we are programed to want our phones 24/7 we focus on getting the homework done faster in order to get to your phone with a full charge. This all takes a lot of will-power but sometimes we have to trick our minds a little.
ReplyDeleteI could relate sometimes we tend to put so much on our plate and do so much. But we forget to take care of our mental health, which is very important. One thing that works for me is taking it one day at a time doing as much as I could without stressing or putting too much on my plate.
ReplyDeleteI love the tactics and plans you have applied and involved in your life. I am the same at times, life can get really demanding and the tasks demanded for each and one of us can really take a toll on the body. But by doing this one step and a time, while doing some bits and pieces really goes a long way in ones development. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds nice and lovely picture! Rewarding yourself is important because it helps with motivation. Also, music in the park sounds vibey and I am glad you got to do that! Thanks for the advice, I should go on walks more often!
